Tour the orchard and gardens of Bird Haven Farm with owner Janet Mavec and then get to work making fresh cider! This is a hands-on demonstration of how to combine the perfect mix of apples to create a superb blend of nectar from the trees.

Janet is the visionary behind Bird Haven Farm. As a jewelry designer, she developed a sixth sense for form and beauty. Under her supervision and stewardship, and the help of famed Spanish designer Fernando Caruncho, the land has gone from a smattering of parcels to a woven tapestry where all pieces connect to tell a larger story of great beauty: an heirloom orchard, a reflecting pond, a Monastery Garden, and a stone farmhouse that was the home of the author of the Nancy Drew series.
